Relationship Rules is the fourth book in the "Rules" series
by Dr. Richard L. Weaver II, PhD. The first three book covers were
produced digitally and
SMOERs added photography. With Relationship Rules, we chose a different direction...
Let's paint the cover!
Artist Anthony Weaver of
ANTworkstudio,
a division of And Then Some Publishing, LLC, created a
simple concept for the cover. Have two people walking hand in
hand, on a straight path, with trees and flowers, escorting the
couple up the path into the sunlight.
The painting is complete... let me know what you think:

You can see this painting coming together... after quite a few more layers of paint the flowers along the path have been started, the trees trunks are taking shape, and the light at the end of the path is starting to shine!

This is the
second layer of paint... many more layers to go... it's
still pretty ugly! |

Quote from ~ANT:
"This ugly picture is the first layers of paint for the cover. I've
just started 'pushing paint'. I feel the concept is good as the base layers go down". |

The example picture on the right was taken at Side Cut
Metro Park in Maumee, Ohio. This picture is the basis for
the book cover which will be turned into a painting. If the
picture looks a little strange, look closely. The image is
actually two different images placed on top of each other
with the opacity changed so I could see them both. |
